A balanced life is necessary for personal effectiveness, mental peace and living well. We all have responsibilities; whether we are working, going to school, or retired. And while dealing with those responsibilities, we will face many troubles and possibly get frustrated. So to get rid of that frustration and stressful energy we must do proactive things to keep us in balance.
To achieve a continually balance state is not an easy task – but it’s also not an impossible one.

1) Love, care and nurture yourself
You cannot do anything if you are not healthy. So enjoy your rest, exercise regularly, and eat properly. Your physical fitness is a must to stay active and your mental peace is also necessary to work well. So love yourself and take proper care of yourself. Don’t run your day-to-day according to other people – think primarily about your own well-being. Don’t eat unhealthy food. Do activities that give you internal happiness. Think what makes you happy and make sure you are doing it regularly. Different people like to do different things such as walking, eating good food, playing or listening to music, serving others, or doing meditation or yoga. It’s not enough to think of these things … you must do them.
2) Stay Close with Nature
Nature plays an important role to keep you in balance. Nature is a well-spring of energy. If you’re not near natural bush-land, try to visit a park or garden at least once in a week. Nature’s five important elements helps us to maintain our balance, that are, Water, Sky, Air, Earth and Fire.
3) Introspect yourself for a balanced life
Always spend some dedicated time with yourself each day. Practice meditation or yoga to feel connected and relaxed. Meditation is an easy option. Five minutes sitting peacefully in a chair is a great place to start. Try to introspect yourself and this will tell you about your good and bad points and where you should apply your effort.
4) Set your Priorities to avoid confusion
Setting up your priorities is important to avoid confusion. Confusion and double mindedness is the precursor for imbalance. So to maintain your balance plan your days according to the priorities and values that you hold dear.
5) Always be aware of your mood and connect with happiness
We all know that laughing is a good exercise for health as well as internal joy. It keeps you in a lighter mood – physically, emotionally and spiritually. Happiness is a source of positive energy. It also protects you from various emotional negativities like anger, shouting, fighting etc. It works like water on fire.
6) Maintain a Positive attitude
Positive attitude is the milestone of achieving balance in your life. It also makes you feel happy and balanced in every situation because the way of thinking and looking about your life is positive. The most important thing to achieve in life is the internal happiness that can come with positive approach in every matter of life. So, be positive, stay happy and keep yourself in balance should be the main mantra of life.
