Spiritual AscensionAscension is a gradual process of becoming enlightened while walking around as a human being.

It is a process of changing from a disconnected human being, to a connected human being, connected to one’s higher self and the realm of spirit. During ascension spirit begins to merge with matter over a period of time, parts of our soul/higher self begin to merge with our body/mind/spirit.

While there are some similarities of ascension with everyone, it is also a very unique and personal experience. After all, we are all so unique and special in our own way.

Positive IntentionsA guest post by Karen Ellyard.

I would like to share with you some thoughts on ‘intention‘.

Intention is an invisible field of energy, and every part of us lives within that energy whilst we are connected to ourselves.

When we disconnect and work from ego, we transfer the dominant force that moves us either backward or forward from ‘intent’ to ‘outside forces’, like; possessions, achievements, reputation … and allow those things to define us and where we go.

Intention can never be accessed by ego, so when we work from ego we cannot move forward on our path as we are not using intent and our path is not clear.

We can either move with universal spirit force, or away from it, towards ego.

AscensionThrough practicing meditation and embracing a spiritual path, over time you will raise your energetic vibration. This is also known as ascension.

Raising your vibration while in a physical body is a slow and gradual process. It has to be a gradual process otherwise your physical body wouldn’t cope.

Learning from ChildrenHaving just had some time looking after my grandchildren I am again humbled by how pure and innocent they are and how much they teach me if I stop to listen.

I have three grandchildren under 5 and have just had them to look after for the week.

They remind me to be present, not just be present but delight in the present of every moment of every day.

They teach me joy as I look into their delighted faces, delighted over the seemingly small things which are so important if we stop to look.

Children see magic in everything because they look for it.

ForgivenessMost of us have, at one time or another, been hurt by the words or actions of others.

The problem is; if we hold onto the emotions of anger, bitterness, pain or sometimes even hatred, it can have a devastating effect on our own lives – both on our health and the circumstances we attract to ourselves.

Every thought we have turns to energy and fills our aura – thus affecting what and who comes into our life.

Making ChoicesIn this post I would like to talk to you about choice.

One of the greatest gifts we have been given is the gift to make choices about everything in every moment.

What will I eat?  When will I go to sleep? When will I wake up? What will I do today? What will I think today? How will I react today?

We make choices constantly all day long which create and affect our life today and also create and affect our future moments.

The series of choices we make today affect our future, not some predestined writings.

Inner WorthWe have created a society that predominately values the outer landscape and has forgotten the inner landscape.

This is slowly changing and one-day society will value the inner landscape again.

We certainly still need the outer landscape, but it needs to be balanced and integrated with the inner landscape.

By turning inward, we begin to understand who we are as a person.

Focus on the PositiveIt is easy to get caught up in the negative side of life with the rising cost of living, bad weather, struggling economies – not to mention the negative side of what we see on television.

It is important to remember that what we focus our attention on we become.

There are many blessings in life every day, but where is your attention; on hardships, stress and unhappiness (which are created by us) or the blessings and joy in our life?

Goal SettingA guest post by Karen Ellyard.
In this post I would like to talk to you about your Value Goals.

I find that very few people set these goals – but I truly believe they are the most important goals of all.

They define who you are and what is important to you.

Some examples are; peace, love, joy, passion, wisdom, honesty, abundance, loyalty, compassion, generosity, integrity, kindness, responsibility, respect, tolerance, courage, acceptance, gratitude, forgiveness and faith, just to name a few.

Setting your Value Goals makes it very easy to make decisions.

Self WorthSo many of us in the world today are ruled by fear and limiting perceptions of ourself.

These habits, these illusions of reality have been sold to us by our ego which is born from the conditioning and perceptions we have learned about ourselves in our lifetime.

For most of us, our ego is what we use to react to our daily experiences.

These beliefs, habits and attitudes influence our daily reactions, responses and behaviors towards ourselves and others.

Life DirectionA spirit-inspired guest post by Brad Austen.

There can be times in many people’s lives when they may find themselves at a crossroads and not know which direction to take.

Firstly, realize you are not alone! Many people question what to do with their life at one time or another.

What is the meaning of LifeA spirit-inspired guest post by Brad Austen.

Many great men and women over the centuries have questioned the meaning of life. This article will explore this theme and also encourage you to think about the meaning of your own life.

I believe the meaning of life is slightly different for everyone, because we all have different goals and aspirations we wish to achieve. But in a nutshell, we are here for our growth and the evolution of our soul.

What is Spiritual Growth‘Spiritual Growth’ as a definition will differ between people, according to their experiences, beliefs and personality characteristics.

Just like buying a t-shirt or pair of jeans – one size definitely does not fit all, thus I can only share my view…

The word spiritual alludes to that something within us which is above and beyond that of our physical reality.

Spiritual growth then is the path we walk to accomplish a greater awareness and alignment to this inner-force.

Life JourneyAs a child I use to read a series of choose your own adventure books. For those that aren’t familiar with them, basically it was a children’s story that allowed the reader to choose what the character experienced.

Similar to life, in the book, you could make choices based on free will.

There were usually three different endings in these books. Some of the consequences the character in the book experienced could be considered good, bad and ugly. It was a novel idea; as just in life, we are all living our own choose your own adventure story.

Love and FearI would like to speak to you about love and fear.

Love and fear cannot coexist; we are either working from one or the other.

In a world where people spend so much of their lives focusing on what they don’t want to happen, which is fear based, love is often absent.

Fear is an extremely strong energy and can take hold in people’s lives and turn into a repeating pattern.

Fear can become our underlying belief and this exists as energy. This energy attracts additional similar energy which then manifests fear in our lives.

Even if a situation has passed we can still be connected energetically to that fear and we need to detach and move on from it for things to change as it can become crippling to our dreams, desires and lives.

Channeled InformationA spirit-inspired guest post by Brad Austen.

Reading or listening to channeled information can be a great way to receive new and higher knowledge that we don’t normally have access to.
Channeling can ‘fill the gaps’ in certain areas that our society hasn’t become aware of or discovered yet. But, just because this information often comes from a higher source, should we take it all in as gospel truth?

Just because information is claiming to come from a higher source, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s entirely correct or accurate.

Life PathThis is a time for new beginnings. The past is behind us and it is time for us to move forward.

Most people don’t strive for new beginnings because the unknown is scary.

Even though people may not like where they are at the moment (job, relationship, anything), it is still familiar, comfortable, predictable … and requires minimal effort.

It is often avoidance (not being honest with ourselves) and resistance (too hard to change which is based on fear) that stops us.

It is not possible to move in two directions at the same time, so whilst we are wasting our energy fighting against what we don’t want, we make no progress towards what we do want.

DestinyDestiny – Kristina Gailiute interviews Brad Austen

Q – What guides our destiny?

A – It is our soul that ultimately guides our destiny, but also our ego personality and free-will choices play a part in our life. For many of us, our soul is only a faint whisper, unless we learn to quiet our minds and go within.

One way of doing this is through meditation.

We also have a team of spirit guides that guide us on our journey in life. We have free will, which is a gift, but there are universal laws such as cause and effect that allow us to experience the results from our choices and actions. We can then reflect on the choices we have made. If we aren’t happy with the outcome we can strive to make wiser choices in the future.

Trusting YourselfTrust is built with consistency.

If we want to trust ourselves, then we have to trust we have the capacity to change things for the better, and be consistent with those thoughts.

If we always limit ourselves with negative thinking and speech like; “I’m not” or “I can’t”, then that will result in not trusting ourselves.

Being PresentI often hear people say, “If only I had time to do what I need to do to grow spiritually.”

I have come to understand that people tend to compartmentalize who they are by ‘where they are and what they are doing’.

Who hasn’t tried to improve themselves by saying, “I will try to put aside some time every day to be present.”

Having been thinking on this I think, ‘Wow! What a way to load more pressure on yourself in a life that is often too busy – where time just seems to move faster and faster.’

I really believe that walking with spirit is the essence of who we are and not meant to be turned on at times.
