Mozart wrote a Sonata when he was 4!
“An argument which the Vedantists advance in support of the theory of Reincarnation is that ‘Nothing is destroyed in the universe.’
Destruction in the sense of the annihilation of a thing is unknown to the Vedantic philosophers, just as it is unknown to the modern scientists.
They say ‘non-existence can never become existence and existence can never become non-existence.’ Or, in other words, that which did not exist can never exist, and conversely that which exists in any form can never become non-existent.
This is the law of nature.
Reincarnation
Another consideration is that the beginning, ending and continuing are concepts of the human mind; their significance depends entirely upon our conception of time.
But we all know that time has no absolute existence. It is merely a form of our knowledge of our own existence in relation to nature.
The conception of time vanishes at the sleep of death; just as it does every night when we are in should sleep. Death resembles the state of our sound sleep.
The soul wakes up from the sleep of death just in the same manner as the insects awake in spring after sleeping the long and rigid winter-sleep, as a chrysalis in the bed of a cocoon spun by itself in autumn.
Nature teaches us the great lesson of rebirth.
Reincarnated Souls
And finally, the doctrine of Reincarnation alone can explain satisfactorily and rationally the diversities among children and the reason of the many instances of uncommon powers and genius displayed in childhood.
At twelve years old Pascal succeeded in discovering for himself the greater part of plane geometry.
The shepherd Mangiamelo at five years could calculate like an arithmetical machine.
Before Zerah Colburn was eight, he could solve the most tremendous mathematical problems instantly and without using figures. “In one instance he took the number 8 and raised it up progressively to the sixteenth power and instantly mentioned the result which contained 15 figures – 281,474,979,710,656.” Of course he was right in every figure.
Someone once asked him how many minutes there were in 48 years, he answered, 25,288,800.
Mozart, the great musician, wrote a sonata when he was four years old and an opera in his eight year.
There are many such instanced of wonderful powers exhibited by artists and painters when they were quite young.
Emerson says in his essay on Experience, “We wake and find ourselves on a stair. There are stairs below us which we seem to have ascended; there are stairs above us, many a one, which go upward and out of sight.”
It is an interesting image to hold in your mind, and one which compliments the statement that explains Reincarnation as a Law.
‘Birth must be followed by death and death must be followed by birth.’
Reincarnation is a spiritual topic worthy of careful consideration. Developing strong beliefs in this area gives a solid foundation for your existence and spiritual growth.

The History of Reincarnation
The Reincarnation concept is simple; Birth – Life – Death – Rebirth. We are spiritual beings having physical experiences. But where did this idea come from? This article covers the history of reincarnation.
Why can’t we remember our Past Lives?
Just because we can’t remember our past lives doesn’t mean they didn’t happen. These memories are held just below the conscious level and Can be accessed.
I think the statement “that which did not exist can never exist, and conversely that which exists in any form can never become non-existent.” is slightly incorrect. I think it’s more like energy cannot be created nor destroyed only transformed from one form to another.
Obviously plenty of things that currently exist like the laptop I am typing on at one point did not exist and eventually in the future it will cease to exist as it decays and becomes rubbish. Maybe I am misunderstanding the statement, but I relate to it more from the angle of Quantum physics where only those things that are already possible as set by the Quantum Field of Possibility can ever be manifested. If it’s not already possible, as ordained by Source, then it will never be no matter how hard you try.
Conversely there is no new thing under the sun as it was already thought of by Source and made possible through the Unified Field. We then “discover” something by bringing the potentiality into physical reality.
I don’t know much about the philosophies surrounding reincarnation but so far I can relate to what you have on your site and to me it makes perfect sense. I recently had an experience, someone told me it was astral travel, where I felt like I jumped out of my body and found myself immersed in a bright white light feeling absolute unconditional love, while at the same time feeling like I was connected to everything and utterly timeless. It was amazing and I kind of freaked out a little bit and as soon as I did I fell back into my body stunned and delighted, it was an incredible experience I hope to have again sometime. To me the light was Source and I was in my true state, ie. spirit.
I agree time and space are illusory and in fact constructs of Quantum Mechanics that allow the physical manifestation of the Universe and the life it supports. The only constant in the Universe is light (E = mc2) – let there be light. Source is light. This is what Christians refer to as God, well that’s my view anyway and I think there’s a lot for me to learn on this subject that’s for sure!
Thanks for sharing Shane, great points and stories 🙂 I agree… Exploring the subject matter of existence can surely AMAZE! And the reality of not being able to hold forth ‘truth undeniable’ just keeps it interesting. Scientists and Spiritualists both have correct points of view.
I have to say that both statements are correct, as like Nigel has said. Selina x
Thanks for this summary of reincarnation. Prior to the last couple of years of my life, I had no thoughts positive or negative about past lives.
However, past life information has started coming to me through various means in the last few years, through meditation, dreams, cranio-sacral therapy. I think this is because I have a strong enough “container”, I’m spiritually and emotionally grounded enough to handle these memories.
Examining life issues that arose and have arisen in this life again, are such a great opportunity for growth!!
Thanks for facilitating discussion on this site.
Kara
Hi Kara, I believe that each incarnation is a spiritual test to gauge our progress as ‘eternal beings’. It’s not necessary for us to flick through old exam papers while sitting this one – but for some of us who are ‘making the same mistakes’, having not learnt from these past lessons, glancing backwards can be a good reminder or source of inspiration for better living in the now 🙂
Sorry but i am not fully agree with you but not fully against in you.You told about Zerah Colburn but answering too typical question at once in such a young age didn’t proved it was a case of reincarnation. Actually reincarnation is a spiritual topic and till yet we dont get any proof of its existence but it doesn’t proof of its nonexistence. Its a topic of debate. But i am very much thankful to you for providing the link of Ebook.
I find proof enough in the fact Psychics, Mediums and Clairvoyants, have, for thousands of years, communicated with the other side. Personally, I have undeniable proof of an existance greater than the time we spend walking the Earth plane. The idea of reincarnation to me, makes more sense than a ‘one show only’ gig.
Somehow agreed with your post but don’t believe in reincarnation the soul which leave will not visit again predecessors. some value properties can match in someone but it will not define it
Re – incarnation is very bad process to happen. No wonder millions of monk in India left their belongings and homes in search for Moksha..
There are many man-made religions, all similar – but different. I try my best not to judge one better than another, or to say their actions are wrong (even if i don’t understand or agree with them).
I know reincarnation is true because I can remember being born and knowing what it felt like prior waiting to be born. I have had my birth account confirmed by my mum. She was amazed when I told her a couple of years ago. I did not recall it until approx five years ago and kept it to myself until I told her and also a couple of friends that know. Besides the fact I used to have re occurring dreams that I discovered years later was from a past life – that got described to me by a psychic without any prompting from me. Love and light Selina xx
