I would like to remind you of something I often remind myself of.
Life may not be wrapped in bows, and it’s not always pretty … but it is still a gift.
We need to be willing to take delight in the unwrapping each day and taking pleasure at each stage of the unwrapping until we get to the center.
The core, the power of the gift of life, is the portion that is ourselves.
If we have a belief that life is hard or a trial then every step of it will be.
In the end it is up to us to either see the gift or see a problem.
For example I have just had my three grandchildren here for a visit, three of them under 4. Small children love to put their hands on everything and we have a lot of glass doors leading outside.
After they had left I sat looking at the masses of hand-prints on the glass doors and I started to grin as it brought to mind the beautiful little people that had made them.
I think I will leave them there for a while longer and enjoy them before I clean them off.
We can either see the print or the hand behind the print just as we can see a difficult situation or the lessons it is meant to teach us.
So many people are unhappy because they are continually comparing their lives to others’ or what they think someone else’s life is like.
Your Life Journey is Unique
You have no idea what someone else’s journey is. Enjoy the blessings in yours.
Use your nice candles, use your nice sheets, nice clothes, play with your children today, tell people you love them, forgive others, say thank you, laugh, be still, enjoy the moment.
Today is a special occasion!
Enjoy each moment – and remember, it is the moments that are special.
Choose life, don’t waste it.
Don’t take yourself so seriously, because no-one else does. Many years back I decided that if I could learn to laugh at myself I would be constantly entertained and I have been.
We are here to give, receive, learn, teach, help, love, laugh, serve and grow.
Give the gift of yourself to others and I encourage you to make up your mind to enjoy the gift of life every day, enjoying the opening and experiencing every day.
It is your choice how you live your life, I hope you choose it to be a gift.
I wish you a life filled with great love, joy and fun unwrapping the daily ribbons of life.
Love & cheers, Karen Ellyard.
Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.
