Scientists tell us that everything is made up of energy. Ancient cultures have known this for thousands of years.
To speak briefly of the Chinese; their well-developed and proven healing systems are based around even and unencumbered flow of energy. They have detailed maps of Meridians, which are energy pathways around the body.
This energy has intense focal points called Chakras. There are 7 main chakras on the body.
The Seven Chakras
The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine.
It vibrates with the color frequency of Red.
The Naval Chakra is located in the lower abdomen.
It vibrates with the color frequency of Orange.
The Solar Plexus Chakra is located between the navel and sternum.
It vibrates with the color frequency of Yellow.
The Heart Chakra is located in the center of the chest at the same height as the physical heart. It vibrates with the color frequency of Green.
The Throat Chakra is located in the throat region.
It vibrates with the color frequency of Blue.
The Brow Chakra (Third Eye) is located in the center of the forehead.
It vibrates with the color frequency of Indigo.
The Crown Chakra is located on top of the head.
It vibrates with the color frequency of Violet, or pure white light.
Chakra Balance
A healthy system works on an even flow of energy. But what about when the flow of energy gets blocked?
Like water running through a garden hose… one small kink and the entire system is dysfunctional. If just one of the chakra centers is out of balance it can affect everything. And yes, it does feel like you are out of balance.
Now when that happens with the car, you get a wheel alignment. But what about the body? You can go and see an energetic healer for a treatment. Be sure to seek referrals and ask many questions before you begin. It is vital you feel comfortable with and trust the person who is going to work on you.
Alternatively, you can work on yourself. But for those of us without a developed psychic sight, how do we know what chakras need attention? Luckily, there are often proven physical, emotional and mental conditions that suggest where attention is needed. When you get the hang of it, it makes sense and your intuition will guide you further.
I have listed several examples below to highlight the commonsense approach.
I.e. A friend or family member is acting in a bad manner. You wish to tell them your thoughts, but are worried it may lead to further upset. You want to speak your truth – but don’t.
You catch a small cold and although you usually heal quickly, and even though you have taken everything under the sun, you just can’t get rid of the sore throat.
In this ‘obvious’ example, the energy of the throat chakra needs clearing and energizing. You words are you energy. If they stagnate in your throat the energy ceases to have an even flow. To fix it, say your words! If not to the person, to a friend, to your diary, or even to a tree… just get them out.
Other examples are boundless, but with an understanding of what the chakras are responsible for and what they govern of the human body and emotion, directing your focus becomes natural.
I.e. If someone does wrong by you, at the instant you find out you can physically feel sick in the stomach. We have all experienced this gut wrenching feeling at one time. To overcome this situation, focus your healing around your stomach, or third chakra.
If you are flighty or lost, sending love to your base (root) chakra will ground you.
The loss of a loved one – heal your heart.
Maintaining a healthy and balanced system is important for those of us who don’t want to wait for imbalance to occur. If you get the car serviced when the log book suggests, it doesn’t cost you as much as if you wait till a major breakdown.
Meditation and the Chakras
Meditation is the best way to maintain the optimal function of your spiritual energy.
When in a meditative state you are more in tune with your body and your physical / spiritual function. If you give your body the chance, it will heal itself, and practicing Meditation gives your body that chance.
If you struggle to sit and meditate to clear your mind and develop an awareness of your energetic flow… try a guided meditation.
Guided Meditation is the easiest form of meditation to practice. The guide walks you through the process step by step, from start to finish. You needn’t worry about your mind continually wandering off to thoughts of family or work. You simply follow the words of the guide and you will reap all the benefits that meditation allows.
Explore Meditation has a range of Guided Meditations specifically for balancing and charging your Chakras. Please browse the titles below.
For Spiritual Growth to occur, it is vital that you develop an awareness of your energy systems. A guided Chakra Meditation uses the experience of the guide to take you to new places. As your awareness grows, so will the sensation and benefit you will receive from these meditations.
There is so much to explore in this site! Invaluable info! nigel do you see others auras? Just wondering…
Hi Katherine, I am constantly working on my psychic sight. Some people have natural abilities they can’t turn off even when they try too, but I have to work at mine! I was drawn to ‘hands on healing’ (I’m a professional massage therapist as well s a blogger) and my talent is greater in ‘sensing’ energy (Intuitively and through my hands). I then use reiki and bodywork to release blockages. I have seen auras colors when we practice in my weekly Psychic Development group … but it’s still a work in progress to get to the level of control over the skill that I wish I had.
Nigel,
My spiritual journey started in April with my husband’s suicide. Just last month I lost my heart dog, the first dog we adopted together. Very unexpected. I was told Scout was my husband’s guardian angel and needed to go be with him to help his healing. I have been working mostly with my heart chakra. I was surprised to learn that my sacral chakra is also weak.
Meditation has helped me cope with these losses. Thank you for this site and all the information provided.
Hello Rae, as hard as it is to deal with loss, the spiritual belief of an eternal soul can provide some comfort in time. It doesnt mean you dont miss them terribly, but know their adventure is continuing in a greater form.
I had a severe injury and after suffering for 5 years I found a doctor of osteopathic medicine that used subtle energy to begin to put my body back together. He not only fixed my body, but my mind and soul were also healed as well. It was then that I took classes to learn the chakras, and Reiki.. any thing having to do with the energy that healed me of all my pain.I now cleanse and balance any one who comes to me, and I work on my own as often as I feel the need. I have a large crystal collection and work also with the crystals. Also using color and sound to enhance the energy transfers. I find that I too often pick up others neg energy, somehow failing to protect myself in a thourough way. How can I protect as I am an Empath and suffer often from the ills of others. Thank you, Kelly
Thats a great story Kelly, Im glad you are healed of your ailments and, in turn, making the world a better place. The great news is that Brad Austen created a free Psychic Protection meditation that is perfect for your request. https://www.exploremeditation.com/psychic-protection/ ENJOY!
I’m heavily pregnant and looking for support during the birth can u recommend any recordings for me to try?
Hi Karyn, this following article was written for Explore Meditation not long ago. Meditation to Manage Labor Pain. Some comments is that it is helpful, and others say GIVE ME THE EPIDURAL NOW! Worth a look though 🙂
What I have come to understand when working with your chakras, is that you can over do them if you are not careful and it can make them worse than if you had not worked on them. Some psychics say that they can close theirs down yet a couple of psychic mediums who I have spoken to say this is dangerous as the chakras are energy centre’s, amongst other do’s and don’ts like which way to spin them etc. It puts me of doing my chakra’s.
Hi Selina, with all spiritual work, if you feel hesitation or resistance – then maybe that element is not for you at this time. That is 100{df31a8e171f738cf751502d9b5a6f3a7abba4f50502d2a833ebe3ce1ac671440} fine. My only suggestion is to pay less attention to what ‘other people say’, and tune in more to ‘how it makes you feel’. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Nigel, I love your clear, honest directions on chakras and chakra clearing. Now that I have the hang of it, I find the whole spiritual journey fascinating. I can now feel my chakras spinning and “feel” their colour. It’s nice to know that if I’m not managing something it just may not be part of my toolbox. I was trying too hard to open my 3rd eye … which didn’t happen so I left it aside for now. Nigel, thanks for your invaluable support.
Maureen, in Ireland
Brilliant Maureen. Yes things present themselves to you at the ‘right time’, so you can add each new tool to your toolbox with divine guidance. Happy to be a part of your wonderful journey! Namaste.
