Much has been written on recognizing your fears and the value of facing them head on, but fear is not a simple concept – and overcoming them can be a daunting process.
I had a friend who was scared of heights. To prove he was a real man he jumped from a plane.
I had a friend who was scared to be alone, so she jumped from one man’s bed to another.
I myself was scared of the unknown, and walked along my spiritual path jumping in fright at every new encounter.

Overcoming Fear
Is it necessary for us to face our fears for Spiritual Growth? Some of them… yes.
Nearly two years ago I went for a healing with a man named Andy Heggies. One thing to come of it I would like to share with you now.
“I am alone in the wilderness. It is beautiful and I am happy. I am standing halfway up a mountainside at the entrance of a cave. It is a similar size to a doorway. I know there is something in there for me. I have the strong feeling it is a treasure I have long sort. (Not riches like silver or gold… but an awakening, an understanding…)
I stand at the entrance of the cave and peer in to the darkness. It is pitch black. I have no torch. I have no fire. It is just me.
It is my free will and faith alone that is to give me the courage to enter this cave and face the unknown. If I really want to hold my treasure in my hands, this is a fear I must face.
I start to take tentative steps. I shuffle forward… and slowly start to believe that all will be well. The light of the doorway is soon consumed by the darkness – but even that is OK.
For only as I stand in complete darkness, do I realize and understand that I am the light. I am the torch that burns bright and sends light into the shadows.
As I welcome the darkness with complete trust and faith in the Universe I find my treasure. I find my True Self.”
This visualization helps me when facing a new fear. I walk into the cave and allow my confidence to shine brightly. Fears seen in pure white loving light don’t seem nearly as bad as those you can’t quite see.
But this, as with most things spiritual, is not a ‘one technique suits everyone’ fear fixer.
We are all at different stages, facing different fears… We will overcome them in different ways.

“Entering a magical space, you stand at the end of a long corridor with doors on either side.
You start walking down the corridor and are drawn to a door labeled FEAR. You know if you step inside, you are to face a fear that is holding you back … One that you are now ready to release.
Ascended Master Saint Germaine, keeper of the transformative violet flame stands beside you to assist and assure. Working together, your fear is transformed into pure love and light.
You are then drawn to another door a little further down the corridor labeled DISEASE.

Thank you so much for this guided meditation! I thought it was very relaxing, I enjoyed the music and subtle sound effects, and it was easy for me to follow along. I was a little worried about how I would feel about having to face a fear. I wasn’t sure if I would be comfortable enough with it to be able to remain focused. I found that I felt really safe with Saint Germaine by my side. I was happy that you included Archangel Raphael in the healing portion of the meditation!

It’s a common experience to feel light and relaxed when meditating. The more often you practice meditation the more likely you are to experience this.
Similar with fears, the more often we do inner work to release and face fears, the less hold they will have over us. Everyone is different, with different fears and circumstances. If you find this meditation helpful, listen to it often, as needed.

Hi everyone! I loved this article about fears. It really helps in some way and I’m actually reading a book about transmuting bad feelings into good feelings. Such as fears and this life karma (since they can be related in some way). It’s about living and feeling every single ‘traumatic’ moment and emotion and as we are re-living and re.feeling those things, we fill those moments with pure light. It really helps! It’s sure a blessing from God!

One of the benefits of meditation is feeling lighter. Meditation helps to strengthen our connection with our higher selves and helps to transmute density or negative emotion. If you can make meditation part of your routine, like a habit, you will benefit the most from it. Only 10-15 minutes a day and you will feel lighter and calmer.
I loved this Meditation and yes i did feel relaxed and healed after listening to the various sounds and your gentle words.
Fear can take many forms and if we let our heads run with this we can get far away from who we really are as energetic beings.

I am a person with many fears and recently I’ve been haunted by a certain fear that I felt would haunt me forever. However, when I was in the room with Saint Germaine, I don’t know how or why but I didnt feel scared at all! Instead I felt safe – and when the room started to turn light I smiled at my fear instead of crying??? This was definitely an amazing meditation and a shock!! I felt so relaxed and calm … Thank you so much.

I really enjoyed your releasing fears meditation and the healing rooms I was guided to. The meditation helped me to conect to both angels and feel so much better in myself. The engergy of the green light made me feel loved and very happy. I wanted to smile and call out to the angel, hold hands and feel the warmth of their energy lifting me up and holding me their in the warmth and joy from meeting these beatufil beings of light, their love helped me from room to room knowing I wasnt on my own their love leading me back to own home.

Happy to hear you enjoyed this meditation. It is one of my favourites as well. Angels are such great protectors and healers, feel free to call upon them as often as you need, as they respect our free will and usually only help if asked.
Hi I have found with myself that often when I face the fear it just becomes another negative experience and so then it feels better to just avoid the fear. why have another maybe negative experience if you don’t have to which then just adds to your list of negative experiences. Life is about joy and if you face your fear your in misery.
I have been meditating for two years, know my higher self and am quite spiritual however when your faced with your fear in life it still is nerve wracking.
Hi Melanie, thanks for your comments. Yes it can very challenging to face our fears. We all have them at different times in our lives. As always, it is best to follow your intuition if you feel it will a negative experience as you say. You don’t always have to face your fears head on, you can simply visualise light releasing them. As a suggestion, you may just like to visualise violet light coming down into your crown charka and clearing away any fears or negativity. Or visualise yourself surrounded by white light and your aura being strong and free from imbalances. All the best on your journey.
