Ego Self Worth

Ego Self WorthSo many of us in the world today are ruled by fear and limiting perceptions of ourself.

These habits, these illusions of reality have been sold to us by our ego which is born from the conditioning and perceptions we have learned about ourselves in our lifetime.

For most of us, our ego is what we use to react to our daily experiences.

These beliefs, habits and attitudes influence our daily reactions, responses and behaviors towards ourselves and others.

Your Sixth Sense

6th SenseI encourage you all to spend a moment to sit and relax and listen to that still, small voice…

What is it, this feeling, this instinct we all have?

Your sixth sense enables you to know. To know more than your five common senses tell you.

It is a seemingly intangible thing, yet when we feel it, we know it.

The Counting Principle

The Counting PrincipleAs my friend re-filled his water bottle, he took a marble from one container and placed it into another. I asked what he was doing and he explained to me it was part of the ‘Counting Principle‘.

For every goal you can make quantifiable - you will be naturally driven to improve.

I realized that human beings are geared for growth. The time we spend in school is learning lessons, sitting tests, and progressing when we have proven our worth. Our applicable intelligence is valued on a scale with reference to the pass-mark. If I was a C student and now I’m a B, I am rewarded by my support network and by the increase in self-worth.

Are You the Light Bulb or the Light?

SpiritWhen writing of spiritual development, it helps to find simple analogies to give perspective to deeper esoteric principals. With that in mind, I ask you to please consider the humble light bulb.

In essence there are two forms working together. The physical structure that gives it a real-world presence and the energetic component of light. An outer shell – and an inner life force. Sound familiar?

Let’s explore the concept further. In the beginning there was only one design of light bulb. As society has advanced in technology and scope, newer designs are now available and are proving to be advantageous. (Whether they direct light in a more efficient way, are more economical to run, or simply last longer.) The light bulb as a physical structure is continuing to evolve and grow for our betterment.

But a light bulb by itself serves no purpose. It only provides benefit when it comes to life. When a light bulb is filled with light, it can radiate its energy to the world around it. For this to happen, the bulb first needs to connect with something greater than itself. It uses the electricity grid to reach a source of power.

My Bunya Mountains Meditations

MeditationI recently had the opportunity to ‘get away’. Some people think I’m crazy when I tell them, but yes, I went camping by myself.

No I didn’t get bored, I wasn’t scared and I wasn’t worried about the many things that could have gone wrong. It was 4 days and three nights of bliss.

I love my computer and the many wonderful things it can do, but no achievement by man has come close to the efforts of Mother Nature. She combines a million factors in balance and no where is the cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth more apparent.

For some of you the perfect holiday may be sitting beside a pool on a deck chair ordering a few fancy drinks. And don’t get me wrong – that would be lovely too, but let me tell you quickly about the Bunya Mountains.

Inner Child

Inner ChildThe Inner Child is a concept used in popular psychology and spiritual healing to denote the childlike aspect of a person’s psyche.

It is often viewed as an independent entity – so that it may be viewed subjectively.

Exploring the concept of your Inner Child can be useful to address the remaining effects of childhood experiences on your adult life. Traumatic events, habits and misconceived ideas from your childhood all stay with you.

Your current behaviors can be drawn from emotional memory and even the experiences stored in the brain below conscious thought.
