You may have heard the saying that ‘life is a game’ – and come to realize that everyone plays a different role in the drama of life.
While we are in the game, it feels very real and sometimes hard to detach ourselves from it emotionally.
Throughout our sojourns as a spirit pretending to be human, we experience many roles. We do this to expand our awareness and experience as a spirit and to evolve.
Meditation can be a great tool to learn to silence one’s mind to hear the soft whispers of spirit. Spirit is always there to help guide us in our life, but it is often subtle and easy to ignore.
Something that is common across many fields of study is success.
If you wish to be successful at your pursuit, find an expert and mold yourself in their image.
That it not to suggest that you lose your identity, but rather, to learn from them all that you can.
For those of us with a deep interest in spiritual growth, striving to be the best that we can be is a natural desire.
In this current day and age, India, believed to be the birth-place of meditation, is one of the only remaining countries in which it is possible to live a life completely dedicated to spiritual enlightenment. For most of us in the developed western world our spirituality most often fits in between our many real-world tasks and responsibilities.
So what can we learn from the world’s masters of spirituality? … The Indian Masters and Yogis.

The other night just before drifting off to sleep, I received a vision of the probable future of humanity and where we are collectively heading.
I received this vision as a download of information, which I then interpret into words.
The following is an exploration of my vision and the download I received.
In today’s post, I am asking you to consider the absence of stimulus.
The reason being is that I am attempting to live without television for one month.
Why? Because they were digging a new drain several blocks from my house, the cable got cut, and the suburb was without TV for about 24 hours.
Now, my place is quite small – so I usually have the TV on a music channel for background noise. But when I picked up the remote and clicked the button, it was an eerie feeling to see a blue screen with the ‘No Signal’ message.
It was like an old friend didn’t like me anymore.
Two natural parts of our human expression are the ego and the soul.
Although we all have both of these aspects in our nature, some people have more balance (or lack of) in their personality.
Our journey from childhood to adulthood can be challenging and our ego is designed to protect us. However the ego will never give us any long-term satisfaction or empowerment.
As a human with free will, we have the choice to nurture our ego or soul.
The path to enlightenment is often called a path because it is a journey through time and space … You don’t simply wake up one day enlightened.
It takes time and dedication to the spiritual path over many years and lifetimes. Everyone is at different stages of enlightenment on the planet. Some are more advanced in areas and some are still in infancy in areas.
Life on earth supports enlightenment through the challenges, tests and trials we are faced with throughout our life.
I often hear people say, “If only I had time to do what I need to do to grow spiritually.”
I have come to understand that people tend to compartmentalize who they are by ‘where they are and what they are doing’.
Who hasn’t tried to improve themselves by saying, “I will try to put aside some time every day to be present.”
Having been thinking on this I think, ‘Wow! What a way to load more pressure on yourself in a life that is often too busy – where time just seems to move faster and faster.’
I really believe that walking with spirit is the essence of who we are and not meant to be turned on at times.
I was sitting to focus on the things I was thankful for. I felt emotion rise and tears started to flow.
This made we wonder … ‘What is Gratitude’?
I have often stated that it is the energy of gratitude that attracts abundance.
If that is the case, and I believe it is, then how do we use the universal law of Gratitude?
I could now clearly see the difference between simply saying ‘thank you’, or sitting to make a list of the things I am grateful for – compared to actually Being Grateful.
I’ve always enjoyed writing. It’s one way in which I can express myself creatively.
I like to capture the essence of a thought or concept and get it on the page so that others have the opportunity to see its beauty.
It’s a thrill to have a blank piece of paper in front of me and an hour to spare!
I’ve written poetry, stories, commercials, film scripts, sales copy and blog articles. They are all very different beasts – even though they are all crafted from the same 26 letters and a few bits of punctuation.
Something I’ve never had to deal with is writers block. (I actually have trouble getting the words down fast enough!) I would feel myself enter a creative zone – and the rest of the world would fall away. It was just me and the page … Or so I thought…
Trust is built with consistency.
If we want to trust ourselves, then we have to trust we have the capacity to change things for the better, and be consistent with those thoughts.
If we always limit ourselves with negative thinking and speech like; “I’m not” or “I can’t”, then that will result in not trusting ourselves.
More and more people are becoming disenchanted with the pressures of modern day living and are looking for ways to have more control of their lives and their futures.
Many books on self-improvement are available and the Life Coach industry is expanding rapidly.
Virtually every book you read, or every bit of advice available, relates in some way to reprogramming the subconscious mind. This can be by visualization which is espoused in books like “The Secret“.
It is commonly accepted that the subconscious mind is the most powerful tool we as humans possess. On the one hand it is our automatic pilot which controls all the activities we need to stay alive; Our breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, intake of food and water, avoidance of danger, etc. etc. etc.
I want to tell you exactly what’s going on with me while being as vague as possible.
It’s a bit of a challenge but I’m up for it if you are. Let’s Go!
So … There’s a swimming pool in my imagination…
And something happened to me today that made me realize something very important.
When I go for a swim, I like to start by doing a big bomb in the deep-end.
I like that the reflective serenity is interrupted by an explosion of water force and bubbles.
Ka-Boom! “World … Nigel Is Now Having A Swim!” That’s just how I roll.
I would like to talk to you about earthbound spirits and why they are different to spirits that cross over. Fortunately there are not as many as most people think as the majority of spirits do cross over.
I think it is a shame that in most cultures there are misconceptions and fear surrounding death. Sadly, most people are not comfortable discussing this subject. I have found that although all spirits are given the choice of crossing over some decide not to.

It has been a sad time for me with the passing of our beloved dog, Charley.
It is times like this when being an Empath is really difficult and I have really struggled with this gift (or at times I think not a gift).
When Empaths have a connection we feel what the other soul is feeling. As Charley became ill I could feel her deteriorating which was far from pleasant.
At this time I want to honor our beloved Charley who brought us many years of absolute joy and all of you Empaths out there that struggle with balancing the emotions and feelings they absorb.
Ascension is a gradual process of becoming enlightened while walking around as a human being.
It is a process of changing from a disconnected human being, to a connected human being, connected to one’s higher self and the realm of spirit. During ascension spirit begins to merge with matter over a period of time, parts of our soul/higher self begin to merge with our body/mind/spirit.
While there are some similarities of ascension with everyone, it is also a very unique and personal experience. After all, we are all so unique and special in our own way.
Simple Feng Shui Tips to Improve Your Life
Many people these days are becoming more and more interested in the fascinating world of Feng Shui.
One of the really great things about the ancient art and science is that you can improve your life very easily by implementing a few things here and there.
Just a little bit of the right Feng Shui and you should notice the benefits quite quickly.
Most of us have, at one time or another, been hurt by the words or actions of others.
The problem is; if we hold onto the emotions of anger, bitterness, pain or sometimes even hatred, it can have a devastating effect on our own lives – both on our health and the circumstances we attract to ourselves.
Every thought we have turns to energy and fills our aura – thus affecting what and who comes into our life.
2012 – Will it be the end of the world or the beginning of something beautiful?
Since the fall of Atlantis thousands of years ago, in our collective consciousness we have held a fear about Armageddon occurring and the end of the world.
Many souls that experienced the fall and apocalypse of Atlantis are also alive today on the planet.
Essentially we are here to create a new golden age and ensure that what happened in Atlantis won’t happen again.

In this post I would like to talk to you about your Value Goals.
I find that very few people set these goals – but I truly believe are the most important goals of all.
They define who you are and what is important to you.
Some examples are; peace, love, joy, passion, wisdom, honesty, abundance, loyalty, compassion, generosity, integrity, kindness, responsibility, respect, tolerance, courage, acceptance, gratitude, forgiveness and faith, just to name a few.
Setting your Value Goals makes it very easy to make decisions.
I’m not sure when you will be reading this, but I’m writing it not long after the start of a new calendar year. No this isn’t a post about the importance of setting New Year resolutions – I’ve never really gone for that.
I like to think that I have the ability to make important decisions for my well-being at any time of the year!
The reason this has come up for me now is that I went camping over New Years and really got back to basics. As I strolled knee deep in the crystal clear waters of Station Creek, with is golden sandy bottom and a gentle ocean tide making it perfect to lay back and float down, I re-realized how much I enjoy getting away from it all.
The computer, work, deadlines, expectations, commitments, the phone, the TV … all of it. It’s not that any of those things are bad by themselves, but for me, when they are a constant pressure for too long I get blinded from my life’s true joys.
So the solution would appear to be easy – Take more holidays and find my happy place.
But there is one major hurdle. I’m too busy.
