I have been told several times by psychic mediums, that in a past life I was a Catholic Priest. For me this rings true.
I also feel I have karmic baggage from this life as a priest that I am clearing in this life. Funny enough in this life I don’t consider myself religious at all, religion doesn’t really resonate with me.
I consider myself a spiritual person. I believe in a supreme creator, God, ET’s, our higher nature and spirit in many forms.
This article is not to convince you or win you over in one way or the other, as ultimately, we all have free choice in what we believe.
Through practicing meditation and embracing a spiritual path, over time you will raise your energetic vibration. This is also known as ascension.
Raising your vibration while in a physical body is a slow and gradual process. It has to be a gradual process otherwise your physical body wouldn’t cope.
I would like to talk to you about attracting abundance – in an economy which in many places is struggling.
I am not talking just about positive thinking here, as although positive thinking has its place, it does not matter how much you say “money is coming to you” if your underlying belief is worry and lack.
If that’s the case, that is the energy that will attract your circumstances.
The key here is creating the correct energy and then getting out of your own way. Here is an example.
Our natural psychic gifts are related to our physical senses – and I believe we need to heighten our physical senses to develop our psychic senses.
It is difficult to hear spirit when you don’t hear what is going on in your physical world, just as it is difficult to see spirit when we don’t make the time to see what is right in front of us. Let us look at some obvious correlations.

I would like to share this story with you – Author unknown.
One day a man saw an old lady stranded on the side of the road. Even in the fading light of the day, he could see she needed help. He pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.
Even with a smile on his face, she was worried as he approached. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn’t look safe; he looked poor and hungry.
He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you.
He said, “I’m here to help you, ma’am. Why don’t you wait in the car where it’s warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.”
I was re-reading “Invoking Your Celestial Guardians“, by Solara Antara Amaa-Ra, and was struck by the simplicity and importance or the short chapter on “Altars“.
Having moved house several times in the last few years, unfortunately many of my non-essentials have found themselves in storage.
Most of my spiritual statues, trinkets and pictures have been boxed and jammed in the corner of my Dad’s garage.
But the chapter included below made me think on how I practice spirituality – and inspired me to change.
(Yes, I’ve been digging through boxes looking for lost connections.)
I send a lot of email in my day to day, be they personal or promotional for Explore Meditation.
As a creative spirit I get bored easily when stuck in a pattern – so when it comes to the sign off I always try to be different.
All the best, Kindest regards, At your service, In Love and Light, Till then then…
But I was always intrigued by the one I was never game to use…
Most of us have, at one time or another, been hurt by the words or actions of others.
The problem is; if we hold onto the emotions of anger, bitterness, pain or sometimes even hatred, it can have a devastating effect on our own lives – both on our health and the circumstances we attract to ourselves.
Every thought we have turns to energy and fills our aura – thus affecting what and who comes into our life.
Reiki is a very versatile tool for healing as it works on so many levels.
I would say that being attuned to Reiki Energy has been the biggest single influence in raising my vibration and helping me to be energy aware.
I use it always…
Whether self-healing, giving a massage, wishing someone well, on food and medicine, or to energize and give thanks to Mother Earth.
This post by Karen Ellyard lists many of the reasons when reiki energy is of tremendous benefit and discusses what would happen if Reiki was taught in schools.

The other night just before drifting off to sleep, I received a vision of the probable future of humanity and where we are collectively heading.
I received this vision as a download of information, which I then interpret into words.
The following is an exploration of my vision and the download I received.
Just the other day I got in a Fight!
I was out near my Worm Farm, transplanting a few cherry tomato seedlings when it all began.
I had a bag of potting mix between my knees, both hands full of dirt and BAMMO!
One of the neighbor’s bees lined me up and took me down with one hit (but not before I squealed hysterically, ran in circles and threw dirt everywhere).
I was stung on the top of my cheek, just below my right eye. I was home alone and a little worried about the effects, as I had been stung on my foot a few years previous and my whole leg swelled. Luckily, this time, Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation saved a disaster. My face did swell a little – but only enough to cut some vision and make me look a little chubby. But the worst thing of all – It hurt when I smiled.
Guess what world? I am enough, just as I am.
I actually haven’t felt this way for very long.
For as many years as I can remember I’ve always wanted to ‘improve my existence’.
As soon as I started school I was challenged to make good grades, do well at sport, and be nice to everyone.
I had parents and teachers keeping me on track to do just that … and they would complement me when I did it well and reprimand me when I didn’t.
It was the same scenario at University – although I was now in charge of the effort I put in. Through natural progression I had assumed that responsibility.
Into my working life, I then had KPI’s to achieve (Key Performance Indicators) and workplace reviews … ‘Pull up your socks’ or ‘Job well done, here’s a raise!’
All of those years of structured development within the confines of good/bad and punishment/reward had aligned my brain to a certain way of thinking.
I had to work hard to do things well and achieve my goals.
As a child I use to read a series of choose your own adventure books. For those that aren’t familiar with them, basically it was a children’s story that allowed the reader to choose what the character experienced.
Similar to life, in the book, you could make choices based on free will.
There were usually three different endings in these books. Some of the consequences the character in the book experienced could be considered good, bad and ugly. It was a novel idea; as just in life, we are all living our own choose your own adventure story.
As my friend re-filled his water bottle, he took a marble from one container and placed it into another. I asked what he was doing and he explained to me it was part of the ‘Counting Principle‘.
For every goal you can make quantifiable – you will be naturally driven to improve.
I realized that human beings are geared for growth.
The time we spend in school is learning lessons, sitting tests, and progressing when we have proven our worth. Our applicable intelligence is valued on a scale with reference to the pass-mark. If I was a C student and now I’m a B, I am rewarded by my support network and by the increase in self-worth.

Lately I’ve been enjoying some time away from computers and technology.
I came to the realization that in one sense technology liberates us but at the same time also can enslave us.
The enslavement is the time it takes out of our days, where we could be enjoying the sunshine or a sunset.
I started to think about freedom and what it really means to be free.
I often hear people say, “If only I had time to do what I need to do to grow spiritually.”
I have come to understand that people tend to compartmentalize who they are by ‘where they are and what they are doing’.
Who hasn’t tried to improve themselves by saying, “I will try to put aside some time every day to be present.”
Having been thinking on this I think, ‘Wow! What a way to load more pressure on yourself in a life that is often too busy – where time just seems to move faster and faster.’
I really believe that walking with spirit is the essence of who we are and not meant to be turned on at times.

There is a saying many of us are familiar with; “Everything happens for our highest good”.
I believe there is some truth in this statement because on a higher level everything that happens to us supports our enlightenment and evolution.
On a human level, we may not make the highest choices as we have free will to choose our thoughts and to act on these thoughts. Most of us will make mistakes because this is how we learn and review those choices afterwards.
The key is not to dwell on our perceived past mistakes, because they have made you who you are today.
It is my belief that mistakes support our path to our highest good.
Life can be full of curve balls. My beloved dog Charley just had a lump removed from her leg. They have found it to be a rare and very quick growing cancer. They are confident they have removed all of it and its roots, so good news there. As I sat reflecting on what had happened (knowing that everything happens for a reason) I could not help but wonder why (don’t you just love being human), because when I Reiki myself in the mornings I also Reiki Charley.
I receive lots of comments on Explore Meditation. Most are very supportive or thankful, and then there are some that offer true insight.
In reference to the post I wrote called “Contacting My Dead Friend“, where I filmed a clairvoyant give me a reading on the anniversary of my friends death, I received a comment from ‘Jacqui’ which I believe sums up a concept very beautifully. I emailed Jacqui to ask permission to post it (offering her a bio or return link), and all she said was “Yes, of course you can post it as an individual post, that is a kind gesture, and I thank you for it. In love and light, Jacqui.” So… here it is!
Do you think the caterpillar knows what it will become as it retreats from the world into its cocoon?
Or it is a grand gesture of faith – and it simply trusts that everything will be OK in time?
The reason that I ask is that I have metaphorically been in a cocoon over the last several months and I am wondering what is to come.
