MeditationJust the other day I got in a Fight!

I was out near my Worm Farm, transplanting a few cherry tomato seedlings when it all began.

I had a bag of potting mix between my knees, both hands full of dirt and BAMMO!

One of the neighbor’s bees lined me up and took me down with one hit (but not before I squealed hysterically, ran in circles and threw dirt everywhere).

I was stung on the top of my cheek, just below my right eye. I was home alone and a little worried about the effects, as I had been stung on my foot a few years previous and my whole leg swelled. Luckily, this time, Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation saved a disaster. My face did swell a little – but only enough to cut some vision and make me look a little chubby. But the worst thing of all – It hurt when I smiled.

Our Earthly ExistanceI receive lots of comments on Explore Meditation. Most are very supportive or thankful, and then there are some that offer true insight.

In reference to the post I wrote called “Contacting My Dead Friend“, where I filmed a clairvoyant give me a reading on the anniversary of my friends death, I received a comment from ‘Jacqui’ which I believe sums up a concept very beautifully. I emailed Jacqui to ask permission to post it (offering her a bio or return link), and all she said was “Yes, of course you can post it as an individual post, that is a kind gesture, and I thank you for it. In love and light, Jacqui.” So… here it is!

Path to EnlightenmentThe path to enlightenment is often called a path because it is a journey through time and space … You don’t simply wake up one day enlightened.

It takes time and dedication to the spiritual path over many years and lifetimes. Everyone is at different stages of enlightenment on the planet. Some are more advanced in areas and some are still in infancy in areas.

Life on earth supports enlightenment through the challenges, tests and trials we are faced with throughout our life.

How to Automatic WritingI’ve always enjoyed writing. It’s one way in which I can express myself creatively.

I like to capture the essence of a thought or concept and get it on the page so that others have the opportunity to see its beauty.

It’s a thrill to have a blank piece of paper in front of me and an hour to spare!

I’ve written poetry, stories, commercials, film scripts, sales copy and blog articles. They are all very different beasts – even though they are all crafted from the same 26 letters and a few bits of punctuation.

Something I’ve never had to deal with is writers block. (I actually have trouble getting the words down fast enough!) I would feel myself enter a creative zone – and the rest of the world would fall away. It was just me and the page … Or so I thought…

What is the meaning of LifeA spirit-inspired guest post by Brad Austen.

Many great men and women over the centuries have questioned the meaning of life. This article will explore this theme and also encourage you to think about the meaning of your own life.

I believe the meaning of life is slightly different for everyone, because we all have different goals and aspirations we wish to achieve. But in a nutshell, we are here for our growth and the evolution of our soul.

Munay-Ki RitesI’m a nature lover. For me it’s the canvas on which Mother Earth expresses her beauty – and to connect with that natural energy both purifies and energizes me. It’s my happy place. When connected to nature – I am free to be my spiritual-self.

So whenever I hear of the opportunity to deepen my spiritual connection with the divine, feminine, nurturing energy she provides my ears prick up and my interest is held captive.

Spiritual Growth Ebb FlowI wear many hats. I only have one head, so I imagine from the outside I look like a fancy circus-juggler dazzling the crowd with my frantic hat-swapping abilities.

Is this a good thing or bad thing? Well, that would depend on the time of day you ask me. If I was full of positive energy and riding a wave – on top of the world; if I was spinning in circles looking dazed and confused – not so much.

But for people like me who jump from project to project, or idea to idea, where we place our focus is the direction of our life path.

I am EnoughGuess what world? I am enough, just as I am.

I actually haven’t felt this way for very long.

For as many years as I can remember I’ve always wanted to ‘improve my existence’.

As soon as I started school I was challenged to make good grades, do well at sport, and be nice to everyone.

I had parents and teachers keeping me on track to do just that … and they would complement me when I did it well and reprimand me when I didn’t.

It was the same scenario at University – although I was now in charge of the effort I put in. Through natural progression I had assumed that responsibility.

Into my working life, I then had KPI’s to achieve (Key Performance Indicators) and workplace reviews … ‘Pull up your socks’ or ‘Job well done, here’s a raise!’

All of those years of structured development within the confines of good/bad and punishment/reward had aligned my brain to a certain way of thinking.

I had to work hard to do things well and achieve my goals.

Goal SettingA guest post by Karen Ellyard.
In this post I would like to talk to you about your Value Goals.

I find that very few people set these goals – but I truly believe are the most important goals of all.

They define who you are and what is important to you.

Some examples are; peace, love, joy, passion, wisdom, honesty, abundance, loyalty, compassion, generosity, integrity, kindness, responsibility, respect, tolerance, courage, acceptance, gratitude, forgiveness and faith, just to name a few.

Setting your Value Goals makes it very easy to make decisions.

Exercises for your BrainThe brain is the organ in our body which allows us to think and interact with the environment; through perception and cognition.

Our brain constantly builds neurons while learning from the new challenges we face each day.

Just like the physical body, our brain also needs to be exercised, if it is to perform at its best.

It is very important to perform tasks that challenge your brain. This helps in building intellect, co-ordination, physical agility, enhanced memory and advanced cognitive behaviors.

Spiritual AltarI was re-reading “Invoking Your Celestial Guardians“, by Solara Antara Amaa-Ra, and was struck by the simplicity and importance or the short chapter on “Altars“.

Having moved house several times in the last few years, unfortunately many of my non-essentials have found themselves in storage.

Most of my spiritual statues, trinkets and pictures have been boxed and jammed in the corner of my Dad’s garage.

But the chapter included below made me think on how I practice spirituality – and inspired me to change.

(Yes, I’ve been digging through boxes looking for lost connections.)

Focus on the PositiveIt is easy to get caught up in the negative side of life with the rising cost of living, bad weather, struggling economies – not to mention the negative side of what we see on television.

It is important to remember that what we focus our attention on we become.

There are many blessings in life every day, but where is your attention; on hardships, stress and unhappiness (which are created by us) or the blessings and joy in our life?

Spiritual GrowthMountains are symbolic in life of overcoming one’s challenges – and rising to the top and succeeding.

We all have different challenges in life to overcome that we have chosen from a spiritual level. As we overcome a challenge, we don’t have to address it again, and we can move onto bigger and better things.

This is also the nature of ascension.

Like a mountain, the journey becomes steeper and more challenging the higher you climb; but the rewards are also greater.

Faith in your Life PathI hope you have been enjoying the varied information on Explore Meditation. As I continue to explore my spiritual interests, I will continue to share what I find … So stay tuned for more.

Entertaining the ideas of Past Lives and Reincarnation absolutely amazes me because of the really big picture it paints in my mind. The scope of this is huge. The scale of perspective pushes my comprehension and understanding. We really are spiritual beings having a human experience, and so many people have no idea!

These concepts have made me realized that humans give so much focus, (both our time and energy), to things, thoughts and situations that in the grand scheme of things are really insignificant.

What is ToleranceI want to tell you exactly what’s going on with me while being as vague as possible.

It’s a bit of a challenge but I’m up for it if you are. Let’s Go!

So … There’s a swimming pool in my imagination

And something happened to me today that made me realize something very important.

When I go for a swim, I like to start by doing a big bomb in the deep-end.

I like that the reflective serenity is interrupted by an explosion of water force and bubbles.

Ka-Boom! “World … Nigel Is Now Having A Swim!” That’s just how I roll.

Clearing Subtle BodyMeditation is the basic practice to attain balance within our physical, mental and emotional bodies.

Meditation enables us to live with greater happiness in today’s stressful atmosphere.

Keeping yourself in balance should be a priority, but it can be a very tough task without Meditation.

Meditation provides the opportunity for everyone to receive joy and happiness in all aspects of their lives.

Psychic ClairaudienceOur natural psychic gifts are related to our physical senses – and I believe we need to heighten our physical senses to develop our psychic senses.

It is difficult to hear spirit when you don’t hear what is going on in your physical world, just as it is difficult to see spirit when we don’t make the time to see what is right in front of us. Let us look at some obvious correlations.

Inner WorthWe have created a society that predominately values the outer landscape and has forgotten the inner landscape.

This is slowly changing and one-day society will value the inner landscape again.

We certainly still need the outer landscape, but it needs to be balanced and integrated with the inner landscape.

By turning inward, we begin to understand who we are as a person.
