Do you need to Unwind and Relax?
Often in life we aren’t taught coping mechanisms to deal with stress (or we know of them and don’t use them). Unfortunately many people resort to alcohol and drugs to cope with these pressures.
A simple meditation practice can help!
It doesn’t have to be an hour-long session; Just ten minutes a day can make a big difference to your health and wellbeing.
If you practice meditation regularly the health benefits grow and become accumulative in a short span of time.
Listening to an instructor who guides you through the meditation can be very beneficial when first learning to meditate.

Guided Meditation for Relaxation
Guided meditation gives your mind a point of focus, so it is less likely to stray and wander to stressful thoughts.

I recommend finding a quiet space, either outside or in a quiet room.
I personally love to mediate near a tree and visualise I am breathing in the life-force of the tree – and then breathing out to give my life force back to the tree.
You can sit, stand or lay – whichever you prefer. You may like to close your eyes or leave them open.
Start by taking a deep breath in and allow your stomach to expand. Hold the breath for a few seconds and then exhale slowly.
Repeat this a few times and you will notice that you feel calmer, centred, and that your senses have sharpened.
In time, you will find that you stay calmer for longer periods, and be less affected by the energies of others.

Meditating regularly improves your energy levels and also helps to keep you looking younger and more youthful! These are just a few of the benefits of regular meditation practice.

Many thanks for your emails, I have now tried a couple of your meditations and find they really help.
I am going through a week of back to back massaging all day this week trying to fit all my clients in before I finish for Xmas and the relaxation meditation as really helped me focus and feel great. I have to admit I woke up with back pin my self thus morning but afte doing this I feel totally fine now.

Hi Nigel, I am not much of a believer in meditation, chakras, auras and all that jazz… And I have tried meditation before with very limited success. But I just listened to your colour shower and I feel wonderful! This is possibly the most relaxed I have felt in years. And just before you said about the white, I felt the white wash over me! I have never had that happen!!! You may have made a believer out of me yet! I have subscribed and downloaded it to my ipod. Thank you, thank you, thank you! My personal trainer suggested colour therapy as a way to relax and focus before and after training and that is how I found your site (good ol’ google!) Thanks again.

Yes, there is a definite progression from taking time out to relax (not sitting on the couch watching TV… but dedicated ‘relaxation’ like basic meditation provides) before you even have to consider Chakras and Auras and the like. The fact you experienced the white energy wash over you before I said it is the dangling carrot that intrigues many. “How can that happen?” is often the instigation that gets people exploring spirituality. No one can tell you its the correct path… You must discover the motivation to walk the path yourself. Just walk along it as far as you are comfortable
