Some of my personal Meditation and Spiritual Growth experiences
Just the other day I got in a Fight!
I was out near my Worm Farm, transplanting a few cherry tomato seedlings when it all began.
I had a bag of potting mix between my knees, both hands full of dirt and BAMMO!
One of the neighbor’s bees lined me up and took me down with one hit (but not before I squealed hysterically, ran in circles and threw dirt everywhere).
I was stung on the top of my cheek, just below my right eye. I was home alone and a little worried about the effects, as I had been stung on my foot a few years previous and my whole leg swelled. Luckily, this time, Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation saved a disaster. My face did swell a little – but only enough to cut some vision and make me look a little chubby. But the worst thing of all – It hurt when I smiled.
Do you think the caterpillar knows what it will become as it retreats from the world into its cocoon?
Or it is a grand gesture of faith – and it simply trusts that everything will be OK in time?
The reason that I ask is that I have metaphorically been in a cocoon over the last several months and I am wondering what is to come.
I recently had the opportunity to ‘get away’. Some people think I’m crazy when I tell them, but yes, I went camping by myself.
No I didn’t get bored, I wasn’t scared and I wasn’t worried about the many things that could have gone wrong. It was 4 days and three nights of bliss.
I love my computer and the many wonderful things it can do, but no achievement by man has come close to the efforts of Mother Nature. She combines a million factors in balance and no where is the cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth more apparent.
For some of you the perfect holiday may be sitting beside a pool on a deck chair ordering a few fancy drinks. And don’t get me wrong – that would be lovely too, but let me tell you quickly about the Bunya Mountains.

There are many benefits you can receive by taking a ten minute break from your computer right now. The most documented benefits are reduced blood pressure and heart rate, reduced stress and anxiety, a greater sense of peace, a greater sense of connection to your true thoughts and feelings – and indeed, your spiritual truth.
With these immediate changes in your being, it will allow deeper and better quality sleep, more creativity, abundant energy and a passion for life.
To explain Meditation we should start with the Definition. But even that is not as easy as it sounds.
Because Meditation has been around for thousands of years, and is interwoven throughout the different cultures and religions of the world, one definition to keep everyone happy is a task indeed!
But we have to make a start, so; Meditation is ‘A mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the reflexive ‘thinking’ mind – into a deeper state of relaxation.‘
The above statement is the desire – or process of Meditation.
The benefits have been ‘felt’ for thousands of years, but now science has evolved to ‘prove’ what is actually happening.
Below you will find several Guided Imagery Scripts to assist with Meditation and Spiritual Growth.
A brief out line has been provided below, with links to the scripts in full. You can read the entire scripts directly from their page – or click the download icons to open and save the scripts as Adobe PDF files.
These guided meditation scripts are free to use for personal use, or in a setting such as a meditation group. They are not to be sold or used commercially. We ask for your respect.
We live in a busy world. There is never enough time!
Our priority lists start with the necessities such as family, work, cleaning and eating, and only when we juggle or sacrifice do we find the time for hobbies, personal development and dare I say it, Relaxation.
And by relaxation I don’t mean sitting on the couch mindlessly flicking the remote!
Physical and Mental relaxation is vital to a balanced and healthy life. Effective relaxation must be one of your priorities!
But you are busy, I know, I know … So let’s focus on a solution – ‘How to relax, in a busy world‘.
Let me introduce you to Guided Meditation. And don’t shy away on reading the word ‘meditation‘ drawing from your pre-conceived ideas. You don’t need to sit still for hours, and you don’t need to completely silence your mind.
Guided meditation is easy, and the benefits are instant!
Here you will find answers to some Frequently Asked Questions about Meditation.
– What if you fall asleep?
– Can anything bad happen?
– Can it develop my psychic abilities?
And many more…
If you are interested in the best meditation for beginners, then you probably want to know ‘How to Meditate’.
But I first need to tell you that there are many different ways to meditate.
But don’t worry, it’s all very simple and will be clear by the end of this page.
I will give brief explanations about the different meditation techniques, with free meditations you can try, and links to more specific information.
Meditation has evolved throughout history, with respect to location, religion and philosophy. It is widely recognized that there are many different ways to Meditate, even though many techniques have similar goals.
It reminds me of the saying, ‘There are many paths to God.’ I believe it is wrong to say that one Meditation Technique / path is better than another, because you are judging a person’s journey, and you don’t know from where they have come.
Their path is perfect for them, as yours is for you.
As such, I will not say that any of the meditation techniques listed below is better than the others. I encourage you to explore the doors that open before you to learn through experience, so you can decide for yourself.
This page gives an overview of the different forms of meditation that exist, with links to more specific information.
