Meditation
When beginners first think of meditation, they usually visualize someone sitting cross-legged on the floor for hours – bolt upright and motionless, possibly chanting the eternal humming sound of … Ohhmmmmmmm.
And they say or think to themselves, ‘I could never do that, it’s too uncomfortable!’ And rightly so!
But rest assured, Meditation is not about the physical. It is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the thinking mind – into a deeper state of awareness and relaxation. Anyone can do it!
If you are struggling to bare the pain of pins and needles, or wondering how on earth you are going to get up off the floor when the meditation is over – you are not likely going to float blissfully on a fluffy cloud of relaxation.
So please eliminate any pre-conceived ideas about Meditation and browse the many topics below.

The Bunya Mountains
What had we done! How could a paddock with a hand full of cows be more important than a thriving rainforest!? I looked to the horizon and realized that at one stage not long ago, the rainforest would have stretched farther than I could see. The Bunya Pines, which had been prolific for 22 million years, were now just a few scarce specimens clinging to the top of a rocky outcrop.
Toonumbar National Park
As the sub-tropical rain-forest of Toonumbar National Park held me in a tight embrace beneath its thick canopy, I had a very introspective experience. I realised the importance of Living With Passion.
My Meditation Cocoon
Do you think the caterpillar knows what it will become as it retreats from the world into its cocoon? Or it is a grand gesture of faith – and it simply trusts that everything will be OK in time?
