Reiki HealingReiki is a very versatile tool for healing as it works on so many levels.

I would say that being attuned to Reiki Energy has been the biggest single influence in raising my vibration and helping me to be energy aware.

I use it always…

Whether self-healing, giving a massage, wishing someone well, on food and medicine, or to energize and give thanks to Mother Earth.

This post by Karen Ellyard lists many of the reasons when reiki energy is of tremendous benefit and discusses what would happen if Reiki was taught in schools.

EmpathEmpaths are affected by others’ energies, emotions and often physical pains.

They can often know the intentions of people and they hear the heart as they can feel what the other people feel. They don’t necessarily read the future but they can read people.

‘Cool’, you might think – but if left unprotected empaths can often suffer from constant fatigue, headaches and unexplained aches and pains.

Empaths feel more comfortable in the spiritual word and often struggle here on the Earth plane.

Love and FearI would like to speak to you about love and fear.

Love and fear cannot coexist; we are either working from one or the other.

In a world where people spend so much of their lives focusing on what they don’t want to happen, which is fear based, love is often absent.

Fear is an extremely strong energy and can take hold in people’s lives and turn into a repeating pattern.

Fear can become our underlying belief and this exists as energy. This energy attracts additional similar energy which then manifests fear in our lives.

Even if a situation has passed we can still be connected energetically to that fear and we need to detach and move on from it for things to change as it can become crippling to our dreams, desires and lives.

Chakra Balance MeditationI would like to speak to you about our thoughts and how they can make us shine and move forward or make attract negative situations and even make us ill.

Every thought we have turns to energy and that energy ends up in our aura.

Every thought, whether mental or emotional is connected to a chakra and affects it either positively or negatively. The energy is fed into our chakras and when they become blocked they affect our health.

A very broad and general outline would include…

Learning from ChildrenHaving just had some time looking after my grandchildren I am again humbled by how pure and innocent they are and how much they teach me if I stop to listen.

I have three grandchildren under 5 and have just had them to look after for the week.

They remind me to be present, not just be present but delight in the present of every moment of every day.

They teach me joy as I look into their delighted faces, delighted over the seemingly small things which are so important if we stop to look.

Children see magic in everything because they look for it.

Loving MyselfLife can be full of curve balls. My beloved dog Charley just had a lump removed from her leg. They have found it to be a rare and very quick growing cancer. They are confident they have removed all of it and its roots, so good news there. As I sat reflecting on what had happened (knowing that everything happens for a reason) I could not help but wonder why (don’t you just love being human), because when I Reiki myself in the mornings I also Reiki Charley.

Setting Your GoalsIn this post I would like to talk to you about your Value Goals.

I find that very few people set these goals – but I truly believe are the most important goals of all.

They define who you are and what is important to you.

Some examples are; peace, love, joy, passion, wisdom, honesty, abundance, loyalty, compassion, generosity, integrity, kindness, responsibility, respect, tolerance, courage, acceptance, gratitude, forgiveness and faith, just to name a few.

Setting your Value Goals makes it very easy to make decisions.

Trusting YourselfTrust is built with consistency.

If we want to trust ourselves, then we have to trust we have the capacity to change things for the better, and be consistent with those thoughts.

If we always limit ourselves with negative thinking and speech like; “I’m not” or “I can’t”, then that will result in not trusting ourselves.

Acting your BeliefsI saw this quote and it really made me think…

“Your beliefs don’t make you a better person, your behavior does.”

So your beliefs do not define who you are – your actions do.

But how often do we hold up our beliefs or hide behind them?

Our beliefs are really just meant to be a heading on who we are and how we act.

What is the point of having beliefs if they don’t manifest in our day to day lives and define who we are?

learning lifes lessonsHeaven and Hell; they both live within us.

This may be a challenging thought but I really believe we create our heaven or our hell based on our perception.

We will all have difficult times to face on our journey.

I believe the trick is not to dwell there any longer than we have to. We need to just stay in the light with our thoughts and try to move forward.

The problem often is that people look for success in the wrong places and then get disgruntled when they don’t find what they are looking for.

During the hard or painful times in my life, were the times where I learnt the most about myself and what I needed to change to move forward.

Life PathThis is a time for new beginnings. The past is behind us and it is time for us to move forward.

Most people don’t strive for new beginnings because the unknown is scary.

Even though people may not like where they are at the moment (job, relationship, anything), it is still familiar, comfortable, predictable … and requires minimal effort.

It is often avoidance (not being honest with ourselves) and resistance (too hard to change which is based on fear) that stops us.

It is not possible to move in two directions at the same time, so whilst we are wasting our energy fighting against what we don’t want, we make no progress towards what we do want.

Making a differenceI would like to share a story with you that I have come across over the years – which never fails to touch me and remind me what is important.

“As she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same. However, that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.

Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he did not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be unpleasant.

It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X’s and then putting a big “F” at the top of his papers.

At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child’s past records and she put Teddy’s off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise.

Gift of LifeI would like to remind you of something I often remind myself of.

Life may not be wrapped in bows, and it’s not always pretty … but it is still a gift.

We need to be willing to take delight in the unwrapping each day and taking pleasure at each stage of the unwrapping until we get to the center.

The core, the power of the gift of life, is the portion that is ourselves.

If we have a belief that life is hard or a trial then every step of it will be.

In the end it is up to us to either see the gift or see a problem.
