Relaxation Meditation
In the fast paced world we live in, taking time out to unwind and relax is becoming more important and necessary.
Job and family demands can build up and become overwhelming… Not to mention the constant bills, car payments and rent or your mortgage.
What is the solution?
Well there are many, but a very simple one is to practice relaxation meditation.
With meditation – you begin to feel an inner peace and stillness. It allows you to slow your down your mind and hush the constant mental chatter.
Ultimately, you learn to take control of our thoughts and emotions – and the little bumps in the road of life become much smoother.
The Love Meditation Method
Meditation Method for Accessing the Quiet Place Within – by DavidPaul Doyle
A quiet mind is a peaceful mind. A peaceful mind is a mind that is joined in awareness with its Source.
There are many ways to quiet your mind to become aware of your Source — to become aware of the Presence of Love within you. Some of the methods we typically hear about include: doing what we love, listening to music, being in nature, being present with another or with an activity we are engaged in, and consciously breathing. All of these examples, and any other example that helps us to quiet our minds, have something in common — they are all demonstrations of relating with love.
When we relate to anything with love, we are joined in awareness with our Source, which is Love.

The Best Meditation for Beginners
When beginner’s ask me, ‘How do you Meditate?‘, you think I would have a simple answer to a simple question – but I first have to know ‘Why they want to Meditate’.
‘I want meditation to help me relax, to unwind, and escape from stress,‘ are the usual replies.
For these people, there is little point trying to sit for hours, without conscious thought, in search of the doors to Nirvana and eternal enlightenment.
Learning How To Meditate
In times long ago, students of meditation dedicated their lives to meditation in the pursuit of spiritual growth. They lived in monasteries and always had a teacher on hand teaching them how to meditate.
As times have changed, this is no longer common, and meditation practice must now integrate into a busy schedule.

Meditation Techniques
There are many different ways to Meditate, even though their goals are similar. It reminds me of the saying, ‘There are many paths to God.’
I believe it is wrong to say that one Meditation Technique / path is better than another, because you are judging a person’s journey, and you don’t know from where they have come.
Their path is perfect for them, as yours is for you.
As such, I will not say that any of the meditation techniques listed below are better than the others. I encourage you to explore the doors that open before you to learn through experience, so you can decide for yourself.
This page gives an overview of the different forms of meditation that exist, with links to more specific information.
Chakra Meditation
Scientists tell us that everything is made up of energy. Ancient cultures have known this for thousands of years.
To speak briefly of the Chinese; their well-developed and proven healing systems are based around even and unencumbered flow of energy. They have detailed maps of Meridians, which are energy pathways around the body.
This energy has intense focal points called Chakras. There are 7 main chakras on the body.
My Meditation Cocoon
Do you think the caterpillar knows what it will become as it retreats from the world into its cocoon?
Or it is a grand gesture of faith – and it simply trusts that everything will be OK in time?
The reason that I ask is that I have metaphorically been in a cocoon over the last several months and I am wondering what is to come.

Living With Passion
Well I am not long back from another camping trip. Now some people might like to spend their break lying on the couch, doing the chores they can never find time for, or sitting on a deck chair drinking fancy drink with umbrellas. Me? I love getting back to nature… with no phone, no clock and no computer.
The most easterly point of Australia is Byron Bay. (If you can picture a map of Australia it is about half way up on the right.) The world heritage listed wilderness of Toonumbar National Park is about 2 hours inland from there.
Reiki Meditation
Although I have worked full-time as a professional massage therapist for over 3 years, the desire to benefit society and be of service has been there much longer.
(Blurry Dream-Sequence Montage…)
Way, way back … just after the turn of the century (2001) I attended an 8-week introduction to meditation course at a local community college. It really did change my life. So many of the concepts pried my mind open like a crowbar in a door jamb.
How had I lived for so long with NO awareness?
And why isn’t EVERYONE on this bandwagon?
But something very special, mentioned during the course, drew my attention like a young man made of steel to a magnet factory.
The Difference Between Hypnosis and Meditation
While many of the goals or desires from both practices overlap, there are distinct differences between hypnosis and meditation which should be clarified.
Hypnosis is appropriate if you have a specific goal you wish to achieve. Be it to regress to a point in our life that has caused trauma, or for a specific desire, such as to stop smoking.
Traditional Meditation is less structured, in that clearing the conscious mind allows thoughts or feelings to surface, while trying not to attach to the emotion of them.
Binaural Beats
There are four Brain-Wave Patterns in which we can function. Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta.
Please click Meditation Explained if you wish to know the background information for this article.
Briefly; You experience Beta brain-wave patterns in engaging activities like when you are driving or working. (Anxiety and Stress are experienced at the top end of this Beta range).
Alpha patterns occur when you are more relaxed and brain activity has slowed. (e.g. Watching television, reading a book).
Theta brain-waves are most commonly encountered in dreams, or at moments of deep insight. And the slowest state,
Delta, occurs in deep, deep sleep, or by the masters while in meditation.

Namaste
I send a lot of email in my day to day, be they personal or promotional for Explore Meditation. As a creative spirit I get bored easily when stuck in a pattern, so when it comes to the sign off I always try to be different.
All the best, Kindest regards, At your service, In Love and Light, Till then then…
But I was always intrigued by the one I was never game to use…
